Introducing our Reception Class for 2017!!
We have had a wonderful start to school. We have been learning all about one another, playing games, creating, making, singing, playing, working, learning and having FUN!!
Today we were lucky enough to have Paramedics Margoux and Shane (also Ruby and Grace’s parents!!) bring an ambulance to school. They told us we need to know our address and the ‘000’ phone number in case of an emergency. Margoux and Shane showed us some of the special medicine they keep in the ambulance, how to take blood pressure, the stretcher and the wheel chair. We even got to see the flashing lights, hear the siren, and take a walk through the ambulance. Thanks Margoux and Shane!

Today, we were lucky enough to see a performance called ‘G’day Asia’. The presenter Hugh, has traveled to many Asian countries, and brought with him lots of puppets to share with us, and teach us some information about these countries. Here are some of the things we learnt:
Dragons are used to celebrate Chinese New Year.
Panda’s eat lots and lots of Bamboo. They also sleep a lot.
The country of China has the most people living in it in the whole world!
Monkeys and Orangutans live in trees in forests. Sometimes people chop down the trees and the monkeys have no where to live.
Congratulations to everyone for the wonderful way you participated in our Sports Day yesterday! There was great team work, listening skills, cheering and FUN had by everyone. Thank you also to all of the Mum’s, Dad’s, Grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and friends who came to cheer us on and help out when needed. We hope you had as much fun as we did!!
