Today we had a visit from the CFS.
CFS stands for Country Fire Service.
We learnt about how to ‘get down low and go, go go!’ and also how to ‘stop, cover, drop and roll’ if there was a fire.
We also learnt that our house needs to have a fire alarm installed and what ‘good’ and ‘bad’ fires are.
Then we went to look at the fire truck and we all got a turn to hold the fire hose!
Thank you to all the volunteers from the Happy Valley Country Fire Service for their visit and all the work they do!
On Wednesday our class joined in with other kids from our Campus in a Cricket Clinic. We did lots of fun activities and games that helped us learn about bowling, throwing, catching and batting.
What a busy week we have had with our Asia Week Celebrations! We have had fun dressing up in an Asian theme, participating in our Asian market day stalls, watching Asian movies and sharing some special Asian lunches!

Olympians of the future!!! on PhotoPeach
This week our class had the opportunity to visit the Nature Play Area on Campus. The children had a wonderful time exploring and playing in this area together. After our time in the Nature Play Area we visited a R/1 Thiele Class and shared one of the Book Week books together as our Book Week activity.
This week our Reception students have been talking about the story of their birth and of how they were welcomed into their family and into the Church family.
Some of the Reception girls shared photos and even brought in special items that were from when they were born or from their Baptism to share with the class. It was very special to talk about when we were babies and how much our families love and care for us.
Although Grandparents day isn’t until Week 8, we have started practising our item for the show!
We are so excited and have already been up on the stage to work out our places and to learn some of the actions!
We can’t wait to show all our Grandparents and Special Friends once we have it all ready!
Save the date and get excited because it’s going to be a great performance!
On Thursday we participated in the long awaited Walkathon!! We completed a circuit which took us around the Campus with our Year 5 buddy class. We all did lots of laps and had lots of fun!
